    Duetto’s new RPOs framework is driving a shift from revenue to profit intelligence

    We sat with HITEC 2025 attendees in Indianapolis to discuss the event. David WoolenbergFormer CEO and President DuettoLearn how the new revenue management system from’s Hotel Revenue Management division is changing hotel revenue management. Revenue and Profit Operation System (RPOs).. Duetto’s platform is putting profit and decision-making at the core of its platform, thanks to the recent acquisition by HotStats, and the sharp focus it has on integrating data. David discusses how RPOs can empower hoteliers to break down silos and scale decisions.

    What is the concept behind Duetto’s new Revenue and Profit Operating System (R&P)?

    Duetto RPOs provides a unified framework for revenue management and profit insight in one system. It took a decade to develop the idea, which now integrates Duetto’s core revenue management with HotStats’ profit benchmarking. The system connects transient revenue, group and event revenue, with margin intelligence. It is supported by third-party data and automation. David says that this platform is a holistic one, which allows hoteliers make faster, smarter and more profitable decisions in all revenue streams.


    Are we moving from a revenue model based on rooms?

    David confirms. It is not enough to focus solely on the room revenue. Today’s hotel operations generate revenue from various sources, F&B, spa, gaming, loyalty programs, and all of them need to be considered. Duetto aims to improve hotel operations. Hoteliers can benefit from a better user experience The system reduces fragmentation in technology, and provides a unified overview of all data. The system is not intended to replace existing tools, but to combine them into one interface.

    Is Total Revenue Management finally a Reality?

    David also agrees with the notion that the industry has moved beyond buzzwords. Total revenue management is changing into total profit intelligence. More revenue is better but the conversation now includes Margin of profitability. RPOs helps hoteliers to not only track revenue but also understand. Where to invest your energy most profitably.

    Are tech silos creating human silos in revenue management?

    Yes. David mentions that historically, disconnected systems led to roles being fragmented. Due to a lack of integrated insights, revenue managers are often forced to concentrate on narrow areas like the rooms. Duetto’s goal is to break down organizational and technical silos. Their platform provides a “Single Pane of Glass” The user can focus on the most important aspects of a decision, instead of getting bogged down with details or manual tasks.

    What is the HotStats purchase mean for Duetto

    Duetto’s acquisition of HotStats reinforces its vision to become a standard operating system both for revenue and profits. HotStats adds credibility, brand trust and advanced benchmarking to Duetto’s revenue platform. This integration allows hoteliers to make informed decisions. Data-driven decision making that drives both top and bottom line performance.

    What is the new role of a revenue manager?

    Absolutely. David believes that revenue managers’ roles are becoming more cross-functional, even though Duetto continues to focus on empowering them. Even housekeeping, finance, marketing and operations rely on the insights that used to be confined only to revenue teams. RPOs facilitate this change by delivering actionable, relevant data to all departments.

    What is Duetto’s opinion on AI in the hospitality industry?

    David makes it clear Artificial intelligence is not here to replace human beings. It is not about Empowering revenue managers Do more with better data. Duetto utilizes AI to uncover insights from external data and internal metrics. This helps users make well-informed, high-value business decisions. Duetto uses AI in a thoughtful way, rather than following trends. The company focuses on the long-term benefit of AI, not just short-term advertising.
