Hotel Landy in Orlando, the vibrant Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is celebrating its first year anniversary. The hotel has made significant achievements and has positioned itself for unprecedented growth. Universal Orlando Epic Universe will open May 2025. A new sweepstakes offers guests an opportunity to experience both milestones.
Since its opening in March 2024 the 400-room Universal Boulevard property has quickly become a destination of note. It received the prestigious New or Renovated Award from Convention South as well as the coveted Universal Partner Status, enhancing guests’ access to Orlando’s premier attractions.
DemetriusHodge, the General Manager of Hotel Landy, stated that “our first year exceeded our expectations because we’ve established Hotel Landy more than just as an accommodation, but as a vibrant Orlando experience.” “With Epic Universe opening later this spring, Hotel Landy is ideally located at the heart of Orlando’s entertainment landscape.”
The property strategically expanded its management team in order to capitalize on new opportunities. Jason Johnson has been appointed Director of Sales, and will begin his tenure as the property’s director of sales in January 2025.
Dan Sullivan, an industry expert, was appointed Senior Sales Manager by the hotel in February. These key appointments will strengthen the hotel’s position in the meeting and group market. This segment is expected to grow as Universal Orlando Resort expands.
Hotel Landy has launched a special sweepstakes in honor of its anniversary, and to commemorate the opening Universal Epic Universe. One winner will receive a dream Orlando vacation with a guest. The prize package includes a 2-night stay in a junior suite, 1-day park passes for the brand-new Universal Epic Universe and daily shuttle service between the theme parks. Entries are accepted until May 15 and the winner will be announced just before Epic Universe’s grand-opening on May 22, 2025.
“This sweepstakes celebrates two significant milestones – our first anniversary and the opening of Epic Universe – while giving our guests a chance to be among the first to experience Orlando’s newest attraction,” said Hodge.
The hotel has also launched its “Epic Getaway Suite Package”, which includes a Junior Suite, a $100 credit for food and beverages, late checkout and benefits exclusive to Universal Orlando Resort, including discounted tickets and shuttle service daily.
Under the culinary direction of Executive Chef Jake Brenchley, the hotel’s Émilie Bar & Lounge has redefined expectations of resort dining with its innovative menu and distinctive concept honoring Émilie du Châtelet, the 18th century French mathematician whose work influenced modern roller coaster development.
The hotel recently announced that it has partnered with Brightline’s Florida high-speed rail service to provide easy transportation to the Epic Universe.
Hodge said, “As we look ahead to our next year, our focus is on leveraging Epic Universe’s unique experience and our prime location as it transforms Orlando’s tourist landscape. “We have built a solid foundation and assembled a team of exceptional individuals to deliver unmatched hospitality.”
The hotel features a pool with a resort feel, as well as meeting spaces of up to 15,000 sq. ft., dining venues that are unique, and a Kinetic game room, open 24 hours a day. The hotel’s energetic design and movement-inspired style have attracted both business and leisure guests looking for a vibrant Orlando experience.
