This year’s HITEC event was a success, with record numbers, innovative new exhibitor’s, and a full exhibition floor. It confirmed HITEC as the global stage of hospitality technology. In addition, we looked forward to the 2026 event, which will be held in San Antonio, Texas.
How was HITEC 2020?
Frank Wolfe believes that this year’s HITEC has been a great success. The atmosphere was positive and the feedback received from attendees and exhibitors alike was overwhelming. The large number of returning visitors as well as newcomers contributed to the dynamic and inspiring environment.
There were many new exhibitors this year.
Wolfe confirmed yes, that approximately 20 to 25% of the exhibitors had never attended the show before. The event was completely sold out and a waiting-list began to form from the first day. Ten new companies already have signed up to participate in next year’s event.
Did HITEC-2025 set any records?
The number of events was quite large. It was possible that the event’s exhibition floor surpassed the dot-com boom years of 2001. Lucas Oil Stadium hosted a record-breaking opening night party, with nearly 2,700 attendees. The mood was celebratory.
What were the highlights of this year’s E20X Start-Up Pitch Competition?
E20X had its largest ever group of participants. Eight companies reached the final round and investor interest was very high. Wolfe anticipates that at least two of these companies are going to receive funding very soon.
Who won the E20X Competition?
Levee, a company from the United States, won the People’s Choice Award as well as the Judges’ Choice Award. This was the first time in E20X’s history that this had happened. The facial recognition software for housekeeping staff allows them to identify cleaning issues and maintenance requirements in rooms. This helps streamline operations and improve room turnover.
What are the plans for HITEC2026?
The planning is well underway. 65 percent or the exhibition space has been reserved for 2026. HITEC will take place in San Antonio, Texas. The event is set along the picturesque Riverwalk, which is one of America’s top tourist destinations. The team has already begun to anticipate another record-breaking season.
