Hilton has announced that its Hampton by Hilton is now available in Thailand. This is a major expansion of the midscale segment in Southeast Asia’s hotel industry. Hampton by Hilton Phuket Town is the hotel that will make its debut.
Hilton now has nine brands in South East Asia where it operates 110 properties. The company plans to increase its portfolio to over 50% within the next few years.
Hampton by Hilton Phuket Town will be part of Hilton’s recent growth strategy. This includes two Hilton Garden Inn Hotels in the Philippines, as well as three new Hilton Garden Inns in Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. This will strengthen Hilton’s dominance in Thailand. The country currently holds the largest portfolio for South East Asia. There are 30 properties, and another 11 under development.
The Hampton By Hilton Phuket Town can be found on Thailand’s biggest island, which is known for the tranquil beaches and Sino-Portuguese culture. The hotel is located just 10 minutes from Rassada Pier (one of Phuket’s most busy piers) and an hour away from Phuket International Airport. The hotel is expected to be an ideal destination for both business and leisure travelers. It is scheduled to open during the third quarter 2026.
Hilton has a portfolio that includes 24 brands of the highest quality. It operates over 8,600 properties in 139 countries, and there are nearly 1.3million rooms.
