It is 25 years old! Green Valley Ranch It is undergoing an extensive $200 million renovation. This will impact nearly every aspect of the resort. Henderson is about 12 miles from Las Vegas. Las Vegas StripThe hotel was opened in 2001 to provide a refined alternative for the spectacle of the Strip.
The resort started a massive renovation project earlier this year, which will be completed in stages through 2026. The redesign, led by Station Casinos’ in-house team in partnership with Avenue Interior Design, brings a modern perspective to the resort’s Mediterranean-inspired roots. With layered textures and custom stone finishes, the Deluxe Rooms now feel like a home. Caramel leathers and shagreen tweeds give the spaces a tailored and lived-in feeling. Thoughtful touches, like analog alarm clocks by Zoe Bois and curated artworks from her, add character.
Upgrades are even more prominent in the suites. The West Tower’s 37 reimagined Suites feature elevated materials like ivory onyx. burnished Brass, and hand finished woodwork. Spa-inspired bathrooms include soaking tubs with oversized shower heads and marble frames for the rainfall showers. Smart TVs and automated lighting are just a few of the high-tech amenities. Entertainment systems, smart TVs and custom millwork can also be integrated. Some suites have balconies or patios that overlook the pool. Others include butler services and upgraded amenities like Dyson hair dryers, Agavia toiletries and Agavia bath products.
The two-bedroom Strip Suite is the collection’s crowning suite. It is 2,790-square feet and feels more like a penthouse than a hotel. It has a rooftop with panoramic views, an onyx red bar, butlers kitchen and carefully selected design pieces by Daniel Fine Art and the Future Perfect.
In the last few decades, the resort also renovated its public spaces. Drop Bar, a sparkling centerpiece on the casino’s floor, reopened late in 2021. It features a dramatic chandelier, and offers sweeping views of resort grounds. Spring 2023 saw the backyard pool area, which covers eight acres, refreshed with new cabanas and upgraded daybeds. The soft tones of the finishes highlight the garden-like design. Polaris Bar opened along the promenade of the casino in that same year. It features a circular gathering place with sports screens and bartop gaming.
Green Valley Ranch will also increase its focus on high-stakes gambling by expanding the High Limit Table Games Room in late 2023, and updating its High Limit Slots Room in early 2024.
The culinary lineup has seen its own glow-up with the addition of Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill in March of this year. The restaurant is helmed by brothers Eric and Bruce bromberg and features a wood-accented, 13-seater sushi counter and a menu with pristine sashimi and hot Japanese specialties. Its signature dish, wasabi honey fried chicken, is also on the menu. The space joins a lineup of local favorites like Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis, Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca, and Pizza Rock by Tony Gemignani.
After the current phase of renovation is complete, updates will be made to the East Tower and South Lobby as well as the meeting and conference spaces at the resort. The renovated West Tower’s guest rooms will be available from October 1.
