The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) will hold its 25th Global Summit in Rome from September 28-30, 2023, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced that its 25th Global Summit will take place in Rome, Italy, from September 28 to 30, 2023. The event is being held at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in partnership with ENIT (the Italian National Tourist Board), Rome Municipality, and Lazio Region.
The summit brings together government officials, business leaders and industry leaders to discuss the future travel and tourism industry. The agenda includes artificial intelligence, sustainable air travel, destination stewardship and preservation of cultural heritage. The event is aimed at addressing the sector’s expected growth which will outpace that of the wider economy by nearly fourfold in the next decade.
WTTC chair Greg O’Hara is passing the leadership of WTTC to Manfredi Lefebvre during the summit. Lefebvre serves as Chairman of Heritage Group and Co-Chair of Abercrombie and Kent. This marks a shift in leadership, as the Council continues to focus its efforts on innovation and sustainable practices in the travel sector.
