The Future Leader Award, in partnership with Sommet Education recognises young, ambitious talents shaping the future hospitality industry in Saudi Arabia. Based on three key criteria – innovation, impact and leadership – Lama was chosen as the winner by a jury consisting of Louis Nicolas Barrios, Regional Manager Innovation Education and Investment, UN Tourism; Jonathan Worsley, Chairman & CEO, The Bench; Carlos Díez de la Lastra, Chief Executive Officer, Les Roches and Anouck Weiss, Sommet Education Chief Communication Officer, Co-founder and Executive Vice President of The Sommet Education Foundation.
Anouck shared the following: Sommet Education aims to foster the entrepreneurial mindset and hospitality passion of Lama AlQawasmi, who embodies empowering leadership. She is the type of leader that the hospitality industry needs: driven by purpose, committed towards others, and not afraid to shape the future.

The award honors Saudi national women who have displayed exceptional leadership and career growth. Narjes, a Saudi-national woman, was selected as the winner by a jury that included Dr. Abeer A. Alamri, Skills Development and Talent Optimizing Expert, Nikolina Anglekova, former Minister Tourism for Bulgaria, and Sarah Gasim, Senior Vice president, Head of Hotels KSA JLL.
