    Fairmont Peace Hotel to move under Raffles

    China: Accor Group and Jinjiang International Group to reposition Fairmont Peace Hotel under luxury hotel brand Raffles is set to debut the renovated property in 2027.

    Jinjiang Group owns the Peace Hotel in 1984. The hotel was created by Sir Victor Sassoon in 1929 and originally named Cathay Hotel.

    It became a part of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in 2010 and will remain open during the transformation to Raffles Peace Hotel Shanghai.

    Highlights:

    • Shanghai’s Peace Hotel, currently part of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, will be rebranded as Raffles Peace Hotel Shanghai by 2027.

    • The hotel will remain open during the transformation.

    • Jinjiang International Group have owned the property since 1984.
