UK: Real estate asset manager Criterion Capital purchased Mansell Court Tower Bridge as part of the expansion plans for its affordable hotel chain Zedwell.
It will open as Zedwell Tower Bridge. This 200-room property is the second Zedwell to be built in the City of London. It is a follow-up to the acquisition of One Princes Street In November of last year,
Zedwell Tower Bridge brings the total number of rooms in the UK to over 9000. Openings are scheduled for London, York Manchester and Edinburgh.
The Zedwell brand, developed in-house, is windowless by design. Its “cocoons”, or guest rooms, feature body-cushioning beds, ambient lighting and purified air.
