The company says that the renovated public spaces and amenities of the Renaissance Revival property, located within an early 20th-century building, were once home for a college residence, as well as fraternities. This property continues to build community by its newly designed features. The hotel is located at Madison Avenue. It offers guests views of Empire State Building, close proximity to Grand Central Station and Fifth Avenue shopping.
According to the company, stepping inside the hotel is like stepping into the Golden Age of Advertising of New York in the 1950s. Interiors inspired by the midcentury era with teal leather sofas, retro radios, record players and black-and white photography bring back nostalgia while incorporating modern art. Low-lit lounges with vintage books like Film Noir, Rock Covers, and New Architecture New York encourage guests to unwind, relax, and soak up the ambience.
Many of the 288 rooms and suites offer a view of the skyline. Fitness center with all the latest equipment is available to guests. Tucked away from MAD Bar & Lounge, the intimate, fireplace-lit piano room features live performances by some of New York City’s finest musicians.
The hotel is also home to Serafina, an Italian-Mediterranean restaurant brand born in New York. Just off the lobby is a restaurant that offers wood-fired pizzerias, fresh seafood and homemade pastas.
