Wild Dunes Resort, a Destination by Hyatt located on Isle of Palms, is pleased to announce Chris Sessions as its director of sales, marketing, and events. Sessions will also be a member of the resort’s Executive Committee.

Chris has more than twenty years’ experience in luxury hospitality. He is a proven leader of high-performance commercial teams. Chris was most recently director of sales at Hawaii’s Fairmont Orchid, located on the renowned Kohala Coast. He successfully managed integrated commercial efforts in sales, marketing and events strategy, while managing the operational aspects for a $110 million property transformation. Prior to his time in Hawaii, Chris held leadership positions at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, including key roles at Hyatt Regency Mission Bay in San Diego and Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach. During his tenure, Chris consistently achieved top-line revenue increases, increased the group average daily rates, and led strategic initiatives which strengthened both leisure segments and group segments.

Chris’s appointment coincides with a crucial time for Wild Dunes. The resort is continuing to invest in a world-class guest experience and amenities including beachfront accommodations and a full-service Spa, championship golf courses, and expansive venues. Chris, a native of the Carolinas who graduated from Coastal Carolina University is delighted to return to Southeast. Sessions and his family will move to Isle of Palms, including wife Kimberly. They have a 3-year-old boy named Aiden.
