Choice Hotels International Inc. The appointment has been made Aly El-Bassuni As SVP of its Managed Hotels Division.
El-Bassuni’s role will be to oversee the strategy, the operations, and the continued momentum of all the managed hotel properties owned by the company. He will focus on helping maximize the performance, improving the guest experience, and driving sustainable, long-term growth.
Dom Dragisich said that Aly’s leadership style is hands-on, and his respect for the frontline team, as well as his global perspective, make him a perfect fit to lead Choice Hotels’ managed hotels division. His international experience, strategic vision and operational expertise will be crucial as we evolve and grow this vital part of the business.
El-Bassuni has more than 30 years of experience in hospitality, spanning across operations, franchising, and brand management. Most recently, he served as president, operations, owner & brand relations at Aimbridge Hospitality, where he led operations support services to drive owner satisfaction, retention and business growth. He has also held senior roles at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Radisson Hotel Group Americas, overseeing operations and strategic initiatives to strengthen owner relations, quality assurance, franchise services and hotel openings, among other responsibilities.
