Ascend Collection, an independent brand of Choice Hotels International, Inc., is proud to announce that more than 400 independent boutique, historic, resort and luxury hotels have opened in the world.

Choice Hotels International, Inc., has celebrated a major achievement with the Ascend Collection, a brand that now operates more than 400 independent boutique, historic, resort, and resort hotels in over 40 countries since its launch in 2008.

As part of the ongoing growth of Choice Hotels, it has simplified its brand name into “Ascend collection” and introduced a new logo. Ascend Collection operates 423 hotels worldwide and plans to expand in high-demand leisure markets and urban areas, with more than 70 hotels planned for the future.

The brand’s total number of rooms worldwide increased by 40% in 2024 compared to the year 2023. The brand has also entered new markets, such as Washington, D.C., Park City, Utah, Vancouver, Mexico City, Queensland, Australia, etc. It recently signed an hotel in Calama, which is known as the gateway of Chile’s Atacama Desert.

As part of Choice Hotels’ broader upscale portfolio, the Ascend Collection has grown. In 2024 the company will increase its Upscale/upper upscale room count to more than 110,000 rooms. This is nearly 20% of their room portfolio.

The new Ascend Collection Logo highlights the words “Ascend” and “Collection”, reinforcing its status as an industry original soft brand. The logo is elegant, simple, and clean. It complements the unique identity of each hotel.

Ascend Collection offers a variety of unique properties with unique guest experiences. These include the Ice Hotel in Kiruna, Sweden, the world’s first and largest ice hotel; Amberes 64 in Mexico City, a design hotel reflecting the city’s diverse architectural landscape; Copperhill Mountain Lodge in Åre, Sweden, an exclusive mountain resort offering panoramic views of the Swedish countryside; Inn at I’On in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, reflecting Southern charm; and St Charles Coach House in New Orleans, Louisiana, a hotel with a rich history dating back to 1921.
