SACRAMENTO, Calif. California Hotel and Lodging Association issued this statement on behalf of California’s over 6,000 hotels and the 235,000 hotel workers. Newsom announced that, so far in 2025, the CHP-led Organized Retail Crime Task Force has made 706 arrested and recovered almost 150,000 stolen items valued at approximately $8 million.
