GoBankingRates, a finance website, identified 12 cities in the United States that are affordable and have great weather by 2024. They analyzed U.S. cities based on various factors including cost of life, overall livability (including average rent), and weather. While many of these locations are located in Florida, there are also a number outside the Sunshine State. One such location is Cary, North Carolina which scored the highest on the list for livability.
GoBankingRates said that the Southern United States is notorious for its heat and humidity. Cary is not an exception, with extreme seasonal changes and a muggier season usually lasting from late may to early octobre. “Don’t worry, though, as the temperature stays in the range of 32°F to 89°F all year long.” The report also stated that the town’s livability rating is 90 out 100 and estimated monthly expenses to be $3,615. In addition, the town has a population of 12 percent over 65. This ensures a vibrant community of retirees.
Weather is just one part of the picture AreaVibes The city was also highly rated for its amenities, low-crime rate, housing, schools and employment. All of these received an A+ rating. The residents of the area and those from the surrounding region gave the city a B rating, which was still very respectable. Cary only scored a D in AreaVibes’ cost of life category. However, this was good enough for it to be ranked among the top 12 cities on GoBankingRates.
The list includes other cities in the United States that are affordable and have excellent weather. Metairie, LouisianaLaughlin Nevada, the city with the lowest estimated monthly costs of living, and Oro Valley Arizona, where more than a third are 65 years old or older, all have livability scores of 84.
