    Carbonleo secured refinancing of Four Seasons Hotel Montreal

    Canada: Lender Aareal Bank AG provided refinancing for Carbonleo. Canadian real estate development and management companyFour Seasons Hotel Montreal

    Aareal Bank, a German bank, acted as the arranger, facility agent and security agent in this transaction.

    Carbonleo, a Canadian private real estate development company founded by Andrew Lutfy in 2012, is a privately owned Canadian firm. The company is focused on real estate development that is experiential and mixed-use, especially cityscape projects.

    Four Seasons Hotel in Montreal, with 169 rooms and mixed use, opened in 2019. It is located on the Golden Square Mile. It has been awarded Green Key Global’s highest distinction – a five-key eco-rating – and also offers high-end retail as well as exclusive private residences.

    Antoine Bernier said that it was an honour to form this new partnership with Aareal Bank. It is based on trust, expertise and a common vision for the future of hospitality in urban markets.
