Marriott International, Inc. announced the signing of seven City Express by Marriott hotels in Brazil with FÁBRICA DE HOTÉIS marking the brand’s anticipated debut in the country. This milestone is a part of a larger multi-unit agreement to open 30 City Express properties in Brazil’s Northeast over the next 15 year.
A special ceremony was held in Porto de Galinhas to celebrate the signing. Local government officials, Marriott executives, and representatives from the firm that owned the property were all present.
This announcement continues the brand’s recent momentum in the Caribbean, Latin America and the Caribbean (CALA). Marriott announced its entry into El Salvador of City Express Hotels by Marriott in June. City Express by Marriott will be launched in Argentina, Bolivia Nicaragua and Peru in January 2025, according to plans announced earlier this year. The brand was officially launched in March in the United States. Plans are to expand the brand into Canada.
