PORTO D GALINHAS – Marriott International, Inc. announced the signing of seven City Express by Marriott hotels in Brazil with FÁBRICA DE HOTÉIS marking the brand’s anticipated debut in the country. This milestone is a part of a larger multi-unit agreement that will open 30 City Express properties in Brazil’s Northeast over the next 15 year.
A special ceremony was held in Porto de Galinhas to celebrate the signing. Local government officials, Marriott executives, representatives of the firm that owned the real estate, and local media were all present.
This announcement continues the brand’s recent momentum in the Caribbean and Latin America. Marriott announced in June that City Express by Marriott would be entering El Salvador, with four new hotels. City Express by Marriott is set to be introduced in Argentina Bolivia Nicaragua Peru and Peru beginning January 2025. The brand was officially launched in March in the United States. Plans are to expand the brand into Canada.
City Express by Marriott now has a presence in five countries, with an additional six markets and over 60 projects in the pipeline—underscoring its rapid growth and increasing impact in the midscale hospitality segment.
