Palisociety has just opened its newest outpost in the Land of Enchantment. Arrive Albuquerque gives you another reason to visit one of New Mexico’s most exciting cities.
Arrive is located downtown Albuquerque, across from Robinson Park and Central Avenue. This was the old Route 66. There are 137 guest rooms spread across six stories, a seasonally open pool (plus a swim club), and an on-site restaurant, Dwtnr Cocktail Bar & Lounge.
Hotel Blue was the original name of the building which now houses Arrive. It was built in 1965. The Hotel Blue property joined Palisociety’s portfolio in 2021 when the brand acquired Arrive Hotel & Restaurants. Palisociety then spent roughly a year thoroughly—and thoughtfully—renovating the property, transforming it into a modern hotel and injecting a little joie de vivre back into downtown Albuquerque.
In an interview with Travel + Leisure. “We’ve worked on the hotel for so long that we’ve met a lot of interesting people, including artists, entrepreneurs, creatives and place-makers. We’re excited to be at forefront of the downtown’s next chapter.”
On the exterior of the building, you can see an expansive mural created by local Diné and Chicana artist Nani Chacon. The mural is reminiscent the original artwork, which used to grace the front of building. It prominently features a candy – red lowrider amid blooming nopal cactuses.
The hotel features warm, minimalist interiors with a pastel color palette that is inspired by the tones and hues of New Mexico’s high desert, as well as the organic design movement from the 1970s. Brosh and his team are the designers of this first Arrive hotel. The common areas are decorated with pendant lights and wood accents. There’s also plush seating and tilework in brick red, white and earthy orange.
Brosh said to T+L that “we paid homage” to the city, its southwest location and in an authentic, creative and irreverent way. I think it seamlessly blends the classic New Mexico influences with the young aesthetic of the Arrive brand.
