Portland has been a regular stop for me since a few years back. I used to make the short trip north from Boston on every free weekend. Well regarded as a culinary hot spot that’s soaked in seaside charm, the easily walkable city is the perfect place to spend a long weekend—or more. The Old Port, Washington Avenue, and West End are all local favorites. It’s easy to instantly feel at home, but still enjoy the city as a tourist.
