Alila Mayakoba To Debut In Riviera Maya This Winter

A transformation of the former Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya, the resort will open with 118 refined guestrooms and 64 suites—each with a private pool. Set within 148 acres of protected mangroves and freshwater canals, guests will find a considered blend of privacy and local immersion—from outdoor treatments and regional healing rituals at the spa to culinary concepts shaped by the land and sea and unique masterclasses with local experts.  The resort’s interiors are elevated, the programming is community-driven, and there is a strong sense of place. This reflects its brand philosophy, which is to create meaningful connections with local culture and environment.

DESIGN

• Alila Mayakoba, with its roots in Mayan traditions, integrates local sourced and recycled materials, organic gardens on site, land- and oceanfront pools, as well as a nature-forward design to create an holistic experience focused around wellness, sustainability and cultural connection.
• Guestrooms and Suites have been completely renovated and feature organic textures, private pools and bathrooms inspired by spas.
• Reimagined arrival experience as a tranquil cenote inspired welcome space featuring natural materials, layers of greenery and artisanal touches that reflect Mayan Heritage.

• Alila Mayakoba brings a new element to the Mayakoba complex. It weaves local traditions into its guest experience, fostering a connection between guests and the community.
