BlackBrick, in partnership with HotelREZ aims to become the urban aparthotel leader in South Africa. BlackBrick Aparthotels will be able to take advantage of HotelREZ’s global network of agency sales office, global preferred partnership with the largest TMCs, agency groups and TMCs, global RFP generation and brand equity. This will ensure a balance of corporate, leisure and direct bookings as well as a reduction in OTA dependence. HotelREZ GDS chain code which has Tier 1 and Platinum Preferred status worldwide, offers an optimised profile to boost a hotel’s visibility in more than 750,000 agencies. The system centrally manages the availability, rates and inventory across all channels including GDS and OTAs.
In the beginning, five properties will be involved in the collaboration: BlackBrick Bedfordview, BlackBrick Sandton 1, 2 and 3 in Johannesburg as well as BlackBrick Foreshore, BlackBrick Gardens and BlackBrick Gardens, both in Cape Town.
BlackBrick Aparthotels preferred this to pure SaaS or distribution resellers, as they wanted a global presence with advanced technology that would drive ROI and margin.
