The rugged heart of the Dolomites a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, you’ll find Adler Spa Resort Dolomiti. A bona fide wellness oasis located in Ortisei, Italy, in South Tyrol, it’s one of seven properties in the Adler Spa Resorts & Lodges group, which has been independently owned by the Sanoner family since 1810.

My stay at Adler Spa Resorts was a great example of the motto “let your spirit fly free.” One of the most memorable moments I had at the resort involved a multisensory wellness ritual The sauna is conducted by a master. He walked around the room dancing and fanned hot steam at guests as he poured water infused with essential oils over hot stones. The 10 minutes of extreme heat were almost unbearable for me—but after a quick cold plunge in the shadow of the Alps, I’d never felt more invigorated in my life.

Lara Holzknecht is the sales and marketing manager at Adler Dolomiti. She says, “The best thing about Adler Dolomiti is the complete offer, from the outdoor activities to the spa and other wellness programs, which help to improve your body and spirit.”

Enjoy a stay at Adler Spa Resort Dolomiti.

When you step inside one of the property’s 108 rooms, you’ll immediately notice the natural wood décor, which is meant to complement its surroundings and provide a sense of warmth. The minimalist rooms were “designed to be left out, not to be stayed in.”

MyWallet has some notable features. modern and very spacious suite Included were high-quality bathrobes and two double-door wardrobes. There was also a rain shower with a walk-in, a king bed that could be easily separated into two twin beds if necessary, a small sitting area furnished, as well a private balcony offering partial views of Italian Alps.

    Food and Drink

Adler Spa Resort Dolomiti has one restaurant on site.

You can choose half-board for your stay and enjoy a buffet breakfast that includes a wide variety of fruits, cheeses, pastries, juices, as well as cook-to order food. Even a fine dining dinner is included in the plan. After picking some appetizers from another buffet-style spread, guests can indulge in a five or six-course à la carte menu. I was particularly impressed with the arctic-char, wild brocolli, and pressed-bread dumpling.

Martino Lono, the head chef of the Dolomites region, says that the menu is inspired by a fusion of Italian culinary traditions and Tyrolean culinary tradition.

It wouldn’t be an Italian vacation without some vino. Choose from more than 300 bottles of wine.

Adler offers many activities all year round at no extra cost. Winter activities like skiing and snowshoeing are available only in winter. However, you can still go on a hike or e-bike in winter.

I especially enjoyed the new yoga studio with its wooden décor, beautiful gongs, and the panoramic windows, which let in plenty of sunshine. You can also take classes with an instructor in the fitness center, which has a wide range of exercise equipment. You can register from your room for classes and activities using a QR Code.

    The Spa

In the hotel lobby, there is a cozy fireplace.

The spa’s lavish waiting area is huge—you’ll need to sit down to browse through the massive 40-page spa treatment menu. I chose the Adler Body Silhouette 50-minute option. It was described as a remodeling procedure that stimulates collagen production and improves tissue tone. I felt refreshed after my treatment.

You can also relax in the spa. The spa has heated indoor swimming pool. multiple outdoor pools The hotel offers spectacular views of the mountains both during the day and at night. The spa also has a Whirlpool as well as Turkish baths.

The resort is situated in Ortisei in Italy in the Val Gardena valley in South Tyrol. Innsbruck Airport, Austria (INN), and Verona Airport, Italy (VRN), are the nearest major airports. The two airports are both about a 2-hour drive away. Renting a car is a good idea if you’re planning to explore the local area.

I flew to Munich International Airport (MUC), so that I could see more of Europe via train. I was at Innsbruck Central Train Station three trains and 3 hours later. From there, a shuttle service (arranged by the hotel) transported me through the area’s scenic mountains to the property—the views were incredible.
