Accor, the world’s largest hotel group in Lutruwita/Tasmania, is delighted to be named once again an Official Accommodation Partner of Dark Mofo 2020.
After a year’s hiatus, the midwinter solstice festival returns 5–15 + 21 June 2025, with an ambitious program of art, performance, live music, feasting and more.
Dark Mofo showcases large scale public artworks in the Dark Park art hub and across Nipaluna/Hobart, along with annual rites such as the sprawling Night Mass parties, the bountiful Winter Feast, the cathartic Ogoh-Ogoh burning, and the cleansing Nude Solstice Swim—taking place on the shortest day of the year.
Over the course of two weeks, Dark Mofo will take over the entire city. This includes rooftops, banks, bar vaults, deconsecrated churches and roofs. Dark Mofo is also extending its tentacles into a Launceston planetarium and a theatre.
As Dark Mofo’s 2025 Official Accommodation Partner, Accor invites guests to explore Nipaluna/Hobart across two weeks of thrilling public art, live music, performances and plenty of nocturnal revelry.
Adrian Williams said that Accor’s Chief Operating Officer in the Pacific is Adrian Williams: “We are absolutely thrilled to be reuniting with Dark Mofo in 2025 as Official Accommodation Partners. There’s nothing quite like the magic and mystery of midwinter in Tasmania – Dark Mofo electrifies Hobart with its bold, provocative programming and unforgettable experiences. This is a celebration that captivates the imagination and ignites all of our senses. “We can’t wait for festival-goers, musicians and adventurers in our hotels throughout the city to make their Dark Mofo experience truly memorable.”

Accor also offers a range of accommodation options for all budgets, so we are looking forward to Dark Mofo.
