    The Pan Am Building from the 1960s in Miami will be reopened as a luxury private terminal

    Travelers passing through the largest airports in the US Soon, passengers will have access to an opulent new private terminal located inside a historic building. Jet Age building.

    PS, formerly Private Suite, is renovating the historic Pan Am Building at Miami International Airport and transforming it into a luxurious lounge for commercial airline passengers who pay.

    The project will be completed at MIA in the summer of 2019. Travelers will feel like they are stepping into the glamorous past. “Golden Age” of air travel in the 1960s—but with upgraded, modern amenities. The terminal will feature private TSA The hotel offers a variety of amenities, including a private suite, a bar and outdoor courtyard with decorative pools.

    The building was originally constructed in 1963 as Pan Am’s regional headquarters. It is a stunning example of midcentury-modern architecture. Miami architecture. The “Taj Mahal” of Miami was so named because it has a similar design to that of the Taj Mahal, and its layout is very similar to that of the US embassy in New Delhi circa 1959.     The Pan Am Building was declared a Miami-Dade Historical Site by the Miami-Dade Historical Commission in 2014. The building has a lace-effect façade, delicate pillars which surround the exterior to support the thin roof and an undulating awning above the entrance. The entrance is framed by a reflecting pool that has several fountains.

    It was once the perfect home for Pan Am—a leading airline in the 1960s that was known for its over-the-top luxury and stylish design features, from its aircraft cabins to its flight attendant uniforms. The architects plan to pay homage to the airline’s rich history by restoring original Pan Am logos and gold panels in the building, as well as accents on the walls of the courtyard and lobby.

    PS MIA features a private TSA and Customs clearance, personal suits, a bar and outdoor courtyard with decorative pools, as well as work spaces and other amenities.

    What to expect from PS MIA

    The terminal will be a private one that travelers can pay to access. They can choose from a variety of areas in which they can relax before their flight. PS offers two levels of spaces, which it will bring to its new Miami Terminal: a semi private lounge called The Salon as well as a truly exclusive personal retreat called The Private Suite.
