Minor Hotels has announced that it plans to expand its operations into Egypt, through a new partnership with Soma Bay Hotel Company SAE. The two companies have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding in order to build a hotel that will be under the luxury Anantara label of Minor Hotels. The first project will be announced in the second half of this year.
The resort is located in Soma Bay in Egypt, a popular resort along the Red Sea coast. The 2,500-acre community is located 45 kilometers south from Hurghada International Airport and offers a wide range of recreational activities including sailing, windsurfing and diving. The resort has one of the biggest thalassotherapy and natural spas available in the area, allowing guests to experience seawater treatments.
The Soma Bay Hotel Company is an Egyptian hospitality company that owns luxury properties on the Red Sea. The partnership with Minor Hotels represents the company’s long-term commitment to investments that will create value and grow in the region.
