Pan Pacific Perth has announced the appointment Rens Breur to the position of General Manager. Rens brings over 30 year of hospitality experience to the role. His appointment is timely, as the hotel will unveil a $50 million transformation of its iconic Perth property in May.

Rens Breur said, “It is an honor to lead the Pan Pacific Perth team at this momentous time.” “This transformation represents more than a renovation—it signals the beginning of a new chapter for one of Perth’s most iconic landmark hotels. The hotel’s redesigned guestrooms and event space are woven into the fabric of our commitment to service excellence and sustainable luxury. “I’m impressed by the team’s commitment and I look forward to welcoming our guests in May as we reveal this exciting new era.”

Rens is well-known in the Australian hospitality industry, having served in senior leadership positions at The Langham Melbourne and Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach. He was also part of the team that launched the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour hotel in 2017. Most recently, he served as Managing Director, Hotel Operations & Development at Fine Hotels in The Netherlands, where he oversaw a portfolio of six properties with extensive F&B and MICE operations.

David Tonkin, Country Manager, Oceania for Pan Pacific Hotels Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rens into the Pan Pacific Perth Family.” “His extensive experience in the international market combined with his deep understanding of the Australian marketplace makes him an ideal leader for the hotel to take it into its new chapter, as we elevate our position in Perth and throughout the country.”

Rens has built a distinguished career across a portfolio of renowned hotel brands, including Relais & Châteaux, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Langham Hotels, and the ACCOR/Sofitel Group. He has since held senior leadership roles—rising through the ranks as Executive Assistant Manager, Hotel Manager, and General Manager—across North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
