Following its hugely successful Global Summit last year in Perth, Western Australia, the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) is bringing the world’s most prestigious Travel & Tourism event to Rome this year, marking a significant return to Europe after six years.
From 28-30th September 2025, the Eternal City in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism (ENIT), the Italian National Tourist Board and the Municipality of Rome will host the WTTC Global Summit 25th edition at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
Recognised as the leading annual event in the global Travel & Tourism calendar, WTTC’s Global Summit unites business leaders, government representatives, and industry pioneers to discuss the most pressing challenges and opportunities shaping the global Travel & Tourism sector.
The 2025 Global Summit will be held in Rome, with the backdrop of the city’s stunning architecture. It will feature the latest in digital transformation, investment strategies and regenerative tourism. Discussions on the importance of technology to drive the sector forward are also planned.

The Global Summit has hosted a number of speakers over the years who have helped to shape global policy and inspire change.
The 2024 Global Summit held in Perth included keynotes from John Kerry (68th U.S. Sec of State), who addressed climate concerns and the role sustainable tourism plays, and Robert Irwin (conservationist), who captured audiences with his insights on wildlife conservation and tourism’s responsibility in protecting natural environments.
Previously, the attendees were able to listen to powerful speakers like former U.S. Presidential Barack Obama and Bill Clinton; former UK Prime ministers Theresa May David Cameron and Tony Blair; and former United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
The 25th WTTC Global Summit will provide a global stage to showcase the latest developments and commitments driving the sector forward, ensuring Travel & Tourism remains a key pillar of the global economy.
