Naples Ferry – Catch the ferry

To save time and money, we took an overnight ferry instead of driving up the boot. Is it the most luxurious overnight stay on the trip? No. Dua would have been in the cabin, munching crisps while her partner turned a little green next to her. I suspect not.

Ferries run every day. We boarded around 8 pm, arriving at Naples at 7 a.m. We only booked a few days in advance and prices range from around $40 if you don’t want a cabin—personally, I would not recommend testing your marriage, honeymoon, or spinal health in this way—to around $200 for a premium cabin for two people with an en suite. It is a good deal since both fares are included.

There were many restaurants, bars and gaming rooms on board. A club was also available, as well as an open-air pool. The night was not glamorous, but it was practical to wake up in Naples and be ready to continue our journey.

    Amalfi coast – a must-see!

Amalfi is a popular destination, but it’s overcrowded. You can find a great place to relax and enjoy yourself. You can also find out more about the following: Book a stay at Monastero Santa Rosa.

This 17th century monastery, hidden away in Conca dei Marini’s fishing village, reimagines the former home of nuns who baked cream-filled pastries inside its walls. It is now a collection of arched ceilings and stone walls, with terraces that run down the hillside to the sea. The Amalfi dream is delivered without feeling like you’ve stumbled into someone else’s wedding proposal.

    Roman Coast – Say ciao

The Roman coast, with so many other coasts, fishing villages and coves to choose from, isn’t often the first choice for people looking for a beach vacation in Italy. You will know if you have been there. Rent a car to enjoy the sea views, coffee on the roadside, and the thrill of driving along the hairpin Italian roads.
