Hilton Head’s luxury is well-known, but it’s beaches are often forgotten in favor of golf and grandeur. It’s not fair. You can’t imagine a better Carolina beach than this. Wide, flat sand with spectacular sunrises. A splash pad. Change rooms. And shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. The porch swings are a great place to sit and watch the people. I might never want to leave.

The Georgetown County Beach is a great place for a family beach trip. It’s quiet, serene and has upscale amenities. It’s all about the proximity to other beaches and the quieter crowds. Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach State Park are only minutes away. But this beach allows you to park your car and enjoy the sun and fun at the surfside for a few days.
