Vail Resorts has made it cheaper to ski in a dozen mountain resorts around the world this year. winter ski getaway Easy as never before

The mountain collection has announced that it will be offering a discount on lift tickets of more than 30% at 12 resorts in North America during the season 2025/2026. Skiers and riders have to purchase their tickets at least four weeks before they travel.

“Up until this season, there were two ways to save on lift access at our mountain resorts—you could either purchase an Epic Pass or Epic Day Pass pre-season for a huge value, or save a smaller amount on lift tickets by purchasing online at least seven days in advance—our goal is to fill that gap,” Rob Katz, the CEO of Vail Resorts, said in a statement shared with Travel + Leisure. “We will always offer our Pass holders the best possible deal, but with this new discount we hope to make skiing and riding snowboards more accessible to those who haven’t thought about the sport until the winter season arrives.”

Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek Breckenridge Keystone & Crested Butte are all Vail owned resorts. ColoradoPark City Mountain UtahNorthstar and Heavenly In California and NevadaStowe, Okemo & Mount Snow in VermontWhistler-Blackcomb in British Columbia Canada.

If you plan your trip well, you can save over $100 per lift ticket. However, the price of lift tickets will vary depending on which mountain you choose. The first day that the new savings can be applied to is Jan. 5, 2026.

Vail says it expects to see many skiers, riders and guests take advantage the new discount. About 25 percent of all visitors purchase a regular lift pass (rather then the popular Vail Lift Pass). Epic Pass Epic Day Pass (must be purchased prior to the winter season). Fewer than 2% of visitors buy a lift ticket for the day on site.

Vail Resorts operates 42 mountains in the United States, Canada and Europe. They also partner with other resorts to offer Epic Pass holders access across the globe.

This year, the company partnered with Uber to streamline ski trips, allowing travelers to buy an Epic Pass or Epic Day Pass right in the Uber app when they reserve an Uber Ski trip.
