    Wilton Manors, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale has an annual cost of $73,020. It received a score of 17 out 20 possible for walkability. 

    The small city has been named the most livable in the U.S. In another study by GOBankingRates conducted earlier this year, the same results were found. The study also found that the average household has a vibrant LGBTQ communityIncluded in a dedicated museum. The location of the city between North and South Forks of Middle River gave it its nickname “Island City.”

    The website used the Environmental Protection Agency’s National Walkability Index in order to come up with these results.     Sunshine State took five places on the list. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy your golden years, if you can get a lot of sunny days without paying any income tax.

    Tavares, FloridaThe next city in the state was ranked No. 16. The “Seaplane City” is just 32 miles from Orlando. Newport Richey, on Florida’s West Coast, came in at number one. Miami Springs was ranked No. 31, followed by North Port in Sarasota County (No. North Port, in Sarasota County, is ranked 49th. 49).
