Wyoming ranches the size of Rhode Island are for sale

This property has a 3,556 square foot hunting lodge with six bedrooms, four and a quarter bathrooms. It’s perfect for a family vacation. 

Dumbell Ranch has several historic barns and corrals as well as a working shop. The Turkey Track Ranch features three ranch houses while The Wooden Rifle Unit has a main home, a bunkhouse and a variety of other buildings including a shop, storage building, barn and corrals. 

Swan Land Company explained that these units are currently leased as separate operating units which support its “robust livestock program”. The new owner can either keep the leases in place or cancel them by giving proper notice. 

Scott Williams shared his thoughts on the scale of the project during the due-diligence. It’s about a 90-minute trip from one end of the property to the other. When people ask me how big it is I say: “You can stand at one mountain range and look to the other, and everything in between is Pathfinder.” 

The best part is that large areas of the land have been placed under conservation easements by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service agreements are in place to protect the Sage-grouse bird and land covenants that will protect the use of the land for the future. The land will continue to look as it did during the 1800s and well into the next millennium. 

The easement will not interfere with ranch operations. Ryan Lance added that we can still construct fences, run cattle, and make improvements which don’t interfere with conservation values. This easement ensures that the undeveloped portion of the Ranch remains intact. The easement comes with a fund that will pay for future monitoring, and the landowner won’t have to worry about ongoing costs.
