Airbnb cofounder and board-member Joe Gebbia is bringing his design skills to the federal governments. Gebbia ran a studio for design at Airbnb.
Bloomberg reported on Thursday that Joe Gebbia (co-founder of Airbnb, board member) will fill this new post.
Gebbia, should he be appointed, will hire creative talent to consult with government departments and agencies on how they can improve the design of websites. He has been working on redesigning the look of the federal government’s pension system for the Department of Government Efficiency.
A spokesperson for Gebbia did not respond to an inquiry about comment.
Airbnb’s response to a question about Gebbia’s appointment was a similar statement it had issued in the previous years when Gebbia was appointed.
