Skift has learned that Marriott will announce on Wednesday a partnership between Flipkart and Walmart’s Indian ecommerce platform.
Flipkart SuperCoins are converted to hotel points for loyal members of both companies.
“We’ve always had to wait for someone to book a hotel room to start engaging with the program… Now with Marriott Bonvoy partnering with Flipkart, we start to become a little bit more part of their everyday transaction,” John Toomey, chief commercial officer, Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International, told Skift.
