Fairmont Ajman recently announced Ahmed Gaafar’s promotion to the position of hotel manager. Gaafar has more than 23 years of experience in luxury hospitality. He combines strategic vision with people-focused leadership and hands-on operations management.
He was appointed director of operations at Fairmont Ajman, in November 2021. He led service enhancement initiatives and introduced new guest experiences standards. After achieving success in all of these areas, he was appointed acting general manager. During this time, he managed to improve commercial performance and guest satisfaction while streamlining operations.
Gaafar, over the past three-and a-half years, has played an important role in embedding Fairmont brand values into the resort. This culture of accountability and collaboration is now a part of the resort.
Gaafar’s new role will see him leading the Fairmont Ajman operational teams, with an emphasis on Accor Core Standards and guest experience innovation.
Before joining Fairmont, Gaafar held senior leadership positions at JA Resorts & Hotels as cluster operations manager, overseeing multiple properties in Dubai, and at Armani Hotel Dubai in Burj Khalifa, where he contributed to its award-winning lifestyle experience. His career also includes roles with InterContinental Dubai Festival City, Rotana Hotels & Resorts, and Kempinski Hotels.
Gaafar, a graduate of Alexandria University, holds a degree in Hotel Management. He is well-known for his leadership style and mentorship. He aims to enhance Fairmont Ajman’s reputation as the UAE’s most loved luxury beach resort.
