Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG)The third-party investor and hotel operator based in Atlanta has been appointed Drew Slayton VP, business development.

Slayton is now responsible for identifying new growth opportunities and solidifying them for HVMG’s entire national portfolio.

“Drew’s contributions as we continue to expand our hospitality portfolio and deliver exceptional value to our partners and clients will be invaluable,” said Mike “Woody” Woodward, EVP/chief growth officer, HVMG. Drew has proven to be an expert at driving growth strategy and providing comprehensive financial insight that shapes critical investment decisions.

Slayton, who has over a decade’s worth of hospitality experience under his belt, was recently the director of business development and investment analyses at Crescent Hotels and Resorts. There, he negotiated third-party management contracts and developed proposals for hotel investors and owners. Prior to that, at HotelAVE, he advised clients on acquisitions and asset management, including oversight of the KSL Mission Hill portfolio, which included the Element Atlanta Buckhead and Tru by Hilton Atlanta Ballpark—both then operated by HVMG. He began his career at IHG as manager of strategic market planning (Americas Development), where he conducted market analyses and feasibility studies in the Americas.

“I have worked with HVMG as an asset manager and I am familiar with the quality of this team. I look forward to being a part of its next growth phase.” He said.
