Hilton released in June a short film featuring Indian actress Deepika padukone. With 1.9 billion views, it is now the most-watched Instagram video in history. Gretchen Moore told Skift, Hilton’s vice president of Asia Pacific marketing and loyalty that the video was viewed on more than 5 billion platforms.
Skift reached out to Instagram in order to confirm if this video is the most-viewed reel ever.
The Hilton “It matters where you stay” campaign is a part of the reel, which was created to coincide with Hilton’s plans for new properties opening in Bengaluru and Surat this year. The openings in India are part of an effort to double Hilton’s footprint over the next decade.
Moore stated: “Deepika Padukone is a symbol of modern India. She represents the new Indian traveler generation who are defining and shaping success, as well as their travel preferences.
