Another project has been signed under the voco brand, a lease for a new voco Hamburg – Altona with 143 rooms. This is the second project in the strategic partnership between the two hotels companies, following the voco Berlin Alexanderplatz that was announced in June.
Location in Hamburg-Altona is excellent
The future voco Hamburg-Altona is being built on Schleswiger Straße, in the immediate vicinity of Hamburg-Altona station, one of the Hanseatic city’s most important transportation hubs. In the western part of the city, a central location combines urban flair, with great accessibility. Regional and long-distance trains, S-Bahn, and bus lines are all within walking range. This location is perfect for both leisure and business travelers. It has easy access to public transportation and the A7 highway.
Altona also gets points for its proximity. It is becoming a hotspot of creative industries and modern urban development. Nearby Elbe beaches, Ottensen’s shopping streets and a variety of restaurants and leisure options add to the appeal of this district.
With its typical voco character—characterized by relaxed comfort, stylish design, and modern, personalized service—the new hotel concept will offer guests a comfortable and authentic stay experience in the urban heart of Hamburg in a total of 143 rooms. The new hotel will open in 2028.
Project partnership that is trustworthy
NOVUM Real Estate Development GmbH is developing the upscale project as part of the family-owned company structure. The project partner is GATE Hospitality & Design mbH, which also acts as project manager.
NOVUM Hospitality & IHG have a second voco in Germany to establish their position within the growing upscale segment. This project also highlights the importance of the strategic partnership between the two companies. There are plans for more joint projects.
