    Rocky Mountaineer A new train itinerary, “Passage to the Peaks,” will travel between Jasper to Banff. This tour allows travelers to immerse in some of the iconic landscapes of Canada. This journey will only be available in summer 2026. It is scheduled to take place in June or July.

    You can take the route either eastbound or westernbound, beginning or ending in Banff and Jasper. Banff is the starting point for travelers who want to explore Jasper. The route continues on to Lake Louise where visitors can enjoy the crystal clear waters of the mountains and the historic landmarks. Fairmont Chateau. On some routes, Lake Louise is not visible from the train.

    Continue to Mount Rundle with its rushing water and glaciers in Banff National Park. Then, continue to Castle Mountain for panoramic views. It is named Castle Mountain because of its fortress appearance. The guests will spend the night in the peaceful town of Kamloops, British Columbia.

    The train will take you to a viewing platform where you can see Pyramid Falls. This is a difficult place to reach by car and requires boarding the train. The participants will also get to see Mount Robson before they arrive in Jasper National Park Where they can enjoy local hiking trails and hidden lakes as well as the famous Jasper Park Lodge.

    Passage to the Peaks is available in 2026 on selected dates due to the FIFA World Cup in Vancouver between June and August. The website says that the city will be expecting a lot of visitors and we are excited to offer a different route for those looking for a more quiet experience.
