SkyBeach Resort is a newly renovated beachfront hotel on the southern tip St. Petersburg in Florida. They are proud to announce the appointment of JoAnna as their director of sales. Halpin’s role will include leading the sales strategy for the 113 room resort spread over 18 acres. She has over 20 years experience in hospitality and is a proven leader with hotel sales, client relationship management and more.

Halpin’s selection comes at an important time for SkyBeach. After being acquired in 2022, by WRDC the resort reopened on July 20, 2024, following a thorough renovation. It featured 113 redesigned guests rooms, a completely reimagined lobbies, and 6,260 sq. ft. of versatile indoor events space, as well as flexible outdoor venues. The resort will introduce SouthSeas tapas later this year. This upscale dining concept offers a elevated take on coastal food while paying tribute to the property’s legacy as an Outrigger Inn – a 1960s retreat famous for its Polynesian themed dining and entertainment. Halpin’s role will include booking events and meetings at the resort’s renovated event center as well as outdoor gathering spaces. The move furthers its reputation in St. Pete as a premier hospitality destination.

Halpin’s hospitality career began at Boston College where she twice participated in the Walt Disney World College Program. This experience ignited a passion for the industry that has lasted a lifetime. Since then, she has held various sales leadership roles in major markets such as Los Angeles, San Diego and Boston. She is known for her strategic approach to business and her ability cultivate lasting client relationships. Halpin has been an animal advocate and led pet adoption programs at her previous properties.

Halpin is excited to build relationships in the local market, while also helping to shape the next chapter for SkyBeach Resort.
