Sanjay Sethi, Chalet Hotels’ CEO and Managing director, will step down after his current tenure ends on 31 January next year. Sethi announced the decision on Friday during the earnings call of the company, stating that he had already informed the board about his intention not to request an extension.
Shwetank, Singh, who is currently the executive director of the company, will now take on his new role as CEO and managing directors.
Sethi stated in a press release that “we’ve thoughtfully prepared for the future leadership of Chalet” over the past two-years. “In accordance… with the Board I had communicated my intention to not seek an extension of my term.”
Sethi assumed the role of Chalet’s CEO for the first time in January 2015 He left briefly in 2017 to become chief operating officer of ITC Hotels. He returned to Chalet the next year.
