Spirit Airlines has announced a new flight from Fort Lauderdale Airport to Key West, Florida. The route will be available in November.
The new flight, which will take off in just 50 minutes and connect Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport with Key West International Airport, is a short one. according to the carrier. The service will be offered four times a week, on Mondays and Thursdays and Fridays and Sundays. It will increase to a daily service by December 18.
Spirit This new route will be the only direct flight between these two airports.

The new flight offers a wide range of cabins including the airline’s version of First Class: “Big Front Seats.” These seats come with extra legroom, a carry-on bag and a checked bag included, reservable overhead bins, free snacks and beverages, Wi-Fi access, and much more. You can book premium economy seating, which offers extra legroom, a blocked middle row for more space, and the airline’s Value seats.
Florida’s new flight provides an alternative to driving, which can be more than four hours long (without considering traffic on peak tourist days). Spirit Airlines is offering introductory one-way tickets starting at $79 to celebrate the launch of this new route. To qualify, you must purchase your tickets at least two weeks in advance by November 19, and travel from Nov. 6 to Dec. 17, (excluding blackout dates between Nov. 20 and Dec. 2)
