According to data provided by the travel brand Trevolution Group, premium travel from and to India is on the rise. The company stated that despite lower outbound bookings to India in the first six months of 2025 its gross bookings totaled $68.36million. This is an increase of 6 percent from last year.

This growth was due to higher expenditures and a larger share of premium class purchases, the company stated. The demand for bookings in business class increased by 27,12% while that of economy class saw a modest rise of 0.78%. This reinforces the trend toward premium, value-added travel options, the company said.

Business class travel outbound from India increased by 17.6%. This is “a sign of a greater concentration of high-net worth travelers and corporates.”

Alex Weinstein is the founder of Dyninno Group of Companies. He said: “We’re seeing more deliberate travel, with higher value, to and from India. This is especially true in business class.” The demand for trip comfort and protection, as also for secondary hubs is on the rise. This shows how the Indian traveler’s mindset is changing.

The Inbound Travel Story: The overall surge in gross total bookings, however, was driven by inbound travel – which increased from $50.29 million to $56.10 million. Trevolution said that the increase in bookings was due to “increased spending by consumers and a continued interest in long-haul, purpose-driven travels to India.”

The number of Indians visiting their friends and families is 20%.

In the first half 2025, the group sold over 39,000 tickets to India. This represents a 4.21% rise over the previous year.
