What fun trips have you taken this summer?
Paris was an unexpected and wonderful trip with my girlfriends. There are also little things I do, such as going home tomorrow. But I’m enjoying New York so much, I want to extend my stay and see what I can. Death Befalls Her [on Broadway] And eat some food. I’m doing little things. I do something every year. solo trip. girls trip.. and then a couples trip. One by one.
What are some of your favorite things to see and do in New York city?
I love wandering aimlessly around here. Just put on the Crime Junkie Podcast and going. I will always find an interesting store, cafe or restaurant Or whatever. I like to go to a bar and get a little appetizer and then continue on.
Do you plan to travel in winter around Australia?
Since 2019, I haven’t been to the UK. AustraliaIt’s also a pain to get there, so if you are going for work, you should build in some fun too. Even to counteract jet lag. I will be there early to see what it’s like and then maybe stay a little longer. Maybe New Zealand, too, which is magical—and nothing kills you there, did you know that? No snakes, no spiders, no sharks, no fire ants, you can just chill.
What is the city that speaks to you the most, of all the cities in the world?
Nashville. I love Nashville so much. It has changed a great deal since I moved there 16 years ago, but I still love the fact that you can walk downtown and find something always so vibrant. Then you can drive about 20 minutes, and you are in the middle nowhere. It’s just farmland. There’s still a little bit of duality, which I find special.
What’s a city you’ve never been to that speaks to you?
There are so many different places to visit. There are so many places I want to visit Rome. Rome, Barcelona—I want more time in Europe. You know, to connect with my roots.
Are you excited about anything else you have planned?
It would have caused me anxiety two years ago to look at someone and say that I really don’t understand what I’m up to right now. It’s funny, but I now can look you straight in the eyes and tell you I have no idea what I’m up to right now. Now, I feel like I’m in a space where I can do something great. I can say, “Yes, let’s go!” Whether you’re into music or not. I don’t even know what the outcome will be. But it will be amazing.
