The first-class train experience just got even more luxurious.
That’s because Amtrak It is rolling out an upgraded dining menu for its popular Acela lines. according to the company. First class Acela passengers can now enjoy a new menu that includes charred chicken and a crab dish with a twist. They will be able to do this while cruising along one of the busiest routes in the United States.
Amtrak released a statement saying that the “elevated touches” will improve the overall experience and expectations on Acela First Class, and Amtrak. “They reflect Amtrak’s commitment to redefining the hospitality industry and positioning Amtrak to be the leader in the premium service.”
Stephen Starr is a James Beard-award winning restaurateur who has created a new menu for all Acela routes. restaurants New York, Philadelphia Washington D.C. Florida and Nashville are home to popular spots such as Buddakan Electric Lemon Pastis and The Clock Tower.
The main dishes were inspired by Starr’s renowned restaurants. These included the Charred Bobo Chicken, acorns squash, and aji verde from St. Anselm in Washington D.C., or the ricotta ravioli with plum tomato sauce at Philadelphia’s Parc. Enjoy the crab-enchiladas, with coconut, poblano and corn from Washington D.C. El Presidente. They are served with a guajillo chilli glaze, lime crema, and queso. All meals are served with a selection of premium wines, spirits and soft drinks.

The rail company has also upgraded its tableware recently and now provides luxury amenities, such as linen cloths on the table and a towel service.
The Acela Line is popular among both business and leisure travellers along the Northeast Corridor. It stretches from Boston, Massachusetts to Washington, D.C., making several stops on the way, such as in New York City Philadelphia. The train runs as an express service that has fewer local stops, higher speeds and a shorter route. It allows passengers to arrive at their destination faster.
