Capella Hotel Group has engaged former Six Senses CEO Neil Jacobs as Senior Strategic Advisor to provide counsel as the group continues its growth trajectory.
Jacobs will provide advice to the group as it experiences a period of rapid expansion and recognition in the industry. Capella Hotels and Resorts has been recognized as the world’s #1 hotel brand by Travel + Leisure three years in a row (2023-2025).
Jacobs’ extensive hospitality expertise will be used to provide strategic insight for the direction of the brand. Jacobs will work to strengthen the brand’s differentiators and ensure they remain relevant in the changing industry. The guest experience is his main focus.
This year marks the opening of Capella Taipei, Capella Hotel Group’s first Taiwan property, featuring interior design by André Fu inspired by the surrounding Songshan district. In May. Patina Osaka The Patina brand was introduced to Japan in a design that was inspired by Osaka Castle. Its official debut took place on the 11th of July with a party. Capella Galaxy Macau will open within the integrated resort later this year.
The expansion continues with Capella Kyoto planned for 2026, situated in the historic Miyagawa-chō district. Capella Florence, the first European brand to be launched by the brand in 2027 will mark its debut.
