A dramatic porte cochere leads to a two story lobby with a signature dining room and a large glass atrium with views of Broadway.
The multi-million dollar transformation of the hotel combines functionality with style to create a stunning result. The lobby is designed to be fluid, allowing guests to dine, work or socialize in a warm wood finish, with stone-clad columns and bronze accents. There are also residential-inspired furniture, Broadway-influenced art, and furnishings inspired by the hotel. In the lobby, a grid made of transparent disks in the style of theater marquees is suspended from the ceiling. Lucid, Highgate’s design and building group, worked with Gensler and Hyatt to develop the project. They also oversaw design and construction.
The 795 guestrooms, suites and apartments offer breathtaking views of New York City and plenty of natural light from the oversized windows. The headboards are channel tufted and the nightstands have marble tops. Built-in millwork and stone surfaces provide ample storage. Well-appointed sofas, tables and chairs allow you to work or relax. Even though the city never sleeps, guests can rest well with blackout curtains that have built-in charging and reading lights. The 969 square-foot penthouse suite—which can be combined with two additional guest rooms—features sweeping views from Times Square to the Hudson River.
Collaboration with MAMMA MIAThe hotel is offering a Greek island-inspired musically-themed room. This will provide an immersive experience to theater and film lovers and strengthen the hotel’s relationship with the Broadway community.
Cue 48 will be opening soon in the lobby, a restaurant that is rooted with thoughtful hospitality. This allows for a seamless transition between a cafe during the day and an evening lounge, overlooking 48th Street.
The hotel gym features a variety of cardio and weight training equipment. Hyatt regency Times Square encourages guests to maintain their fitness regimens while traveling. Health-conscious food and drink offerings will also be available in the hotel’s lobby restaurant.
