How Voting Works
Every year for our World’s Best Awards survey, T+L asks readers to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe—to share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. The 2025 survey was completed by nearly 180,000 T+L subscribers. More than 657,000 votes have been cast in total across 8,700 properties.).

This year’s favorite properties in New Orleans are located primarily in the Central Business District and the French Quarter—the city’s historic heartbeat of tourism. The posh, 1984 classic is located in the Central Business District near the Riverfront. It has a 65-foot long pool and a museum-worthy collection of art. Windsor Court is known for its legendary staff, but it’s really the Windsor Court itself that makes the hotel a New Orleans landmark. One reader commented that the level of service was unmatched by the front desk staff, the bar staff, the restaurant staff, and even the doormen. Another, who traveled with their family, recalled, “They treated the children as honored guests.”
