The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) will hold its 25th Global Summit in Rome from September 28-30, 2023, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced that its 25th Global Summit will take place in Rome, Italy, from September 28 to 30, 2023. The event is being held at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in partnership with ENIT (the Italian National Tourist Board), Rome Municipality, and Lazio Region.

The summit brings together government officials, business leaders and industry leaders to discuss the future travel and tourism industry. The agenda includes artificial intelligence, sustainable air travel, destination stewardship and preservation of cultural heritage. The event is aimed at addressing the sector’s expected growth which will outpace that of the wider economy by nearly fourfold in the next decade.

WTTC chair Greg O’Hara is passing the leadership of WTTC to Manfredi Lefebvre during the summit. Lefebvre serves as Chairman of Heritage Group and Co-Chair of Abercrombie and Kent. This marks a shift in leadership, as the Council continues to focus its efforts on innovation and sustainable practices in the travel sector.

Italy is expected to be a major player in these discussions, as it is a global leader in tourism. The summit will also examine Italy’s initiatives for transport innovation and tourism to foster a connected world.

The WTTC Global Summit has become one of most important events on the global travel and tourism calendar. It is a great opportunity for leaders to interact. The summit will highlight Italy’s ongoing commitment to the blue economy. This includes developments in mega-yachts, sustainable marinas and other aspects.
